Description

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Nashville District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for a firm fixed-price construction contract. The work includes construction of the Seven Points Sanitary Sewer network which includes minor clearing and grubbing, trench excavation, placement of HDPE force main and to include assembly and construction of all pertinent sewerline components, connection to the existing sewerline network, flowable fill for abandon sanitary sewer pipes and abandon septic tank, construction of wet well tank and pump vault, pump installation and all pertinent components, some potential pavement replacement, granular backfill placement and compaction, in-situ material backfilling, seeding and mulching, and any other incidental related work including survey of final pipe network and environmental protection. It is anticipated that the Contractor will encounter mostly soil during trenching and excavation operations, there will be minor rock encountered during excavation operations. Contractor mobilization shall not be permitted until the Seven Points day use area is closed for the season, 06 September 2022. Contractor shall be completed with all construction, clean-up, and demobilized from the day use premises prior to 31 March 2023. The Contractor will have to coordinate with Nashville Electric Service and Nashville Water Service as applicable. If the construction of the project is delayed and passes 31 March 2023, the Contactor shall be required to provide 3 portable toilets and at least one ADA approved portable toilet and close the comfort station until the final connections are made, or the Contractor can elect to pump the existing septic tank until the final connections are made to the proposed septic tank.�� Location: The work is located at the Seven Points day use area, located on Cumberland River Basin adjacent to the Stones River outside of Nashville, Tennessee. An approximate location is indicated in the contract drawings. DISCLOSURE OF THE MAGNITUDE OF THE PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION PROJECT: Between $500,000 and $1,000,000. NAICS CODE AND SBA SIZE STANDARD: Y1NZ and 237110 - Water and Sewer Line and Related Structures Construction Size Standard $39.5M. TYPE OF SET-ASIDE: 100% Total Small Business Set-aside SOLICITATION RELEASE DATE: The anticipated release date for this solicitation is on or around �20 May 2022 SITE VISIT DATE: A site visit is tentatively scheduled. Due to the Social distancing guidelines provided by CDC because of COVID 19, no more than two (2) company representatives will be allowed to attend the site visit. Each individual will be responsible providing his/her own safety equipment (i.e. hard hats, steel toed safety shoes,�etc.). Additional details regarding meeting place and time will be provided once the complete solicitation package has been posted to Sam.gov. Contractors who are interested in attending the site visit are strongly encouraged to submit the site visit request form as soon as possible to avoid missing the submission deadline for the forms. Offerors are urged and expected to inspect the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of the contract performance (FAR52.237-1, Site Visit).
