Description
1. This market research notice is being conducted by Network Contracting Office (NCO) 17 VHA Regional Procurement Office-West (RPOW) 124 E. Hwy 67 Suite 100 Duncanville Texas 75134 for the procurement of 10 Motorola APX 8000 Radios exact brand. 2. Background and Requirement: The South Texas Health Care System Emergency Management Office are needing to purchase (10) Motorola APX8000 All Band Portable Model 2 radios. This equipment will help to effectively manage communications with Emergency Management and Hospital Incident Command Operations during incidents within the STVHCS. The purchase of these 10 Motorola Radios would fill a proven need for communications during the event that requires monitoring communications within the hospital and external agencies. This would enhance hospital emergency response capabilities. Exact brand is required because the Motorola radios need to integrate with the DoD Enterprise Land Mobile Radio (ELMR) System at Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) Area. Only Motorola radios are allowed to be used with the JBSA ELMR system. a Requirement salient characteristics is as follows. Motorola APX 8000 Radios: 10 each, with Yellow housing Astro Digital CAI operations x 10 for each radio P25 9600 Baud Trunking x 10 for each radio User Guide x 10 for each radio 5 year Essential Service x 10 for each radio Enhance: AES FIPS 140-2 Level 3/DES, DES-XL, DES-OFB x 10 for each radio Enhance: ASTRO 25 OTAR w/MultiKey x 10 for each radio Smartzone Operation x 10 for each radio Programming Over P25 (OTAP) x 10 for each radio Battery, IMPRES 2 LIION R IP68 3400T x 10 for each radio Charger, Multi-Unit, IMPRES 2, 6-DI x 1 TAA Charger, single unit, IMPRES 2, x 5 each Audio Accessory-remote speaker Micr, x 10 for each radio UHF1 GPS Stubby Antenna, 10 for each radio 3. If this is an item your business can provide, please respond to this Sources Sought Notice by 3:00 PM Central Time on Tuesday, 10 May 2022. 4. The intent of this notice is to establish sources to define the procurement strategy (e.g set-aside, sole source, unrestricted) for a solicitation that VA intends to post soon. Interested contractors are requested to respond in accordance with the following: a. If you have an existing GSA or VA, Federal Supply Schedule contract, include the contract details in your response. b. Please note that VA is particularly interested in determining the availability of Service Disable Veteran Owned Small Business/Veteran Owned Small Business or other Small Business manufacturers or authorized distributors that can provide this item. c. Respond to this notice if you can provide the exact brand name products listed in the table in the background and requirement section above. In the response, please cite your business size status. d. DISTRIBUTORS: You must provide proof that you are an authorized distributor. VA does not accept gray market items. e. Vendors are requested to submit estimated market research pricing with their responses. The estimated pricing will be considered when determining the procurement strategy for the future solicitation. (e.g. if CO determines that capable small businesses cannot provide fair and reasonable pricing, then the solicitation will not be set-aside). 5.
