The database schema designs for these new relational and NoSQL databases shall be scalable to permit efficient expansions to connect new structured and non-structured data located in different repositories. As part of this project, there is a requirement to reconcile three separate data sources of ABMC burials and memorializations: the existing online Drupal 9.x MySQL database at WWW.ABMC.GOV, the digitized bound volumes of burial record registries and their indexed records in delimiter-separated values (e.g., comma-separated value) files from the hardcopy registries of the World War I and World War II burials and memorializations that the agency produced in the period immediately after the wars, and a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet of identified service members remains from the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA).
