- Pursuant to FAR Subpart 13.501(a)(1)(ii), the U.S. Army, MEDCOM, Regional Health Contracting Office-Pacific (Joint Base Lewis-McChord Health Contracting Branch), Lacey, WA, issued sole source firm-fixed contract W81K0222P0054 under solicitation W81K0222Q0057 to Howmedica Osteonics Corporation (DBA Stryker Orthopaedics) for a base period plus two one year option periods in the estimated amount of $354,000.00 for Maintenance and Repair Services for a Government-Owned MAKO Robotic Arm System. The maintenance and repair service for the Government-Owned MAKO Robotic Arm System are proprietary in nature and Howmedica Osteonics Corporation (DBA Stryker Orthopaedics) is the only organization that is capable of providing the services required by Madigan Army Medical Center. The contract is for services which the Government solicited to only one source under authority 13.501(a)(1)(ii).
