Description

This is a notice of intent to sole source a procurement under FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures and FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) � soliciting from a single source. The applicable NAICS Code is 337215. The Marine Corps Installations National Capital Region - Regional Contracting Office (MCINCR-RCO) at Marine Corps Base, Quantico, VA intends to award a sole source contract to:� Spacesaver Interiors 10800 Connecticut Avenue Kensington, MD 20895� The MCINCR-RCO intends to award this requirement under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), soliciting from a single source for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold. This requirement is for the procurement of maintenance and support of Spacesaver Corporation�s ActivRAC high density shelving systems. The products and services are proprietary to Spacesaver Corporation. The regular and preventative maintenance of these shelving systems is integral to the safekeeping of the National Museum of the Marine Corps historical artifacts as well as the safety of museum staff who regularly operate the carriages. Procurement planning for the follow-on effort is currently in process, and award is expected to be made on or around May 19, 2022, in accordance with fair opportunity under Far Part 13 procedures. The anticipated contract is for a period of performance from 01 June 2022 through 31 May 2023 with four (4) twelve�month option periods. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotes; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Capability statements or quotes, if received timely, will be considered; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses shall be emailed to genia.fouts@usmc.mil no later than 18 May 2022, 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time. Late responses will not be considered.
