Stratton Albany, NY 12208 POC:             Mariangie Rivera, email Mariangie.Rivera@va.gov                    DESCRIPTION: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE-SOURCE CONTRACT TO TEKTON C.C., LLC.  The NJ Healthcare System at East Orange VA Medical Center requires three automatic doors to be repaired and parts installed. These deficiencies were determined during a yearly inspection and preventative maintenance of the automatic doors. The current vendor Tekton C.C., LLC, has identified these deficiencies during their inspection. Therefore, the authority used for non-competitive (sole source) procedures is in accordance with VAAR 819.7007 - Sole source awards to service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns. This Notice of Intent is not a request for Proposals or Quotations.  Accordingly, no solicitation document exists, and no telephone or email inquiries will be accepted.          No contract award will be made based on proposals or quotations received in response to this notice.          The Government MAY consider all Expressions of Interest (EOI) received prior to Friday, May 20, 2022, by 3:30 PM EST.    A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.  Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.    Responses to this notice must be emailed to Mariangie.Rivera@va.gov, and it must be received no later than 3:30 PM EST on Monday, May 23, 2022.                   Submitters are responsible for ensuring their EOI reaches the designated Contracting Specialist on time. STATEMENT OF WORK Title of Project: Automatic Door Additional Work Repairs Background: The NJ Healthcare System VA Medical Center in East Orange, NJ, has a requirement to repair two OR automatic doors and install secure access to the doors located in the Director's Suite and one of the OR sliding doors. The repair and installation of parts for the automatic doors were identified during a current yearly preventative maintenance inspection check. Scope of Work: The Contractor shall provide all resources necessary to accomplish the deliverables described in this Statement of Work (SOW). The Contractor shall be responsible for providing all labor and materials required to complete the repairs and installation of the two OR automatic doors and the door leading to the Director's Suite. The Contractor shall replace the sensors for the automatic doors located in the OR Main. The Contractor shall add a wave plate and install secure access to the sliding doors in the hallway leading to the OR and Endo Suite. The Contractor shall install secure access and control arms to the existing door in the Director's Suite. The Contractor shall propose a timely schedule to meet all the facility's needs and requirements. The Contractor shall assess, repair, and install the required parts necessary on all doors, including related materials. As well as test the door's functionality and ensure that the doors are operational. The Contractor shall provide a written inspection report upon completion of all work. Performance Period: The Contractor shall commence work after the contract has been awarded. Type of Contract: Firm-Fixed-Price Place of Performance: N.J. V.A. No other person, including the COR or any other V.A. personnel, is authorized to request additional work be performed by the Contractor. Any additional services performed that are not authorized by the Contracting Officer will be considered an unauthorized commitment.
