- The California Institute of Technology�s (Caltech) Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) located at 4800 Oak Grove Drive Pasadena, CA 91109 is issuing the subject Request for Information (RFI) to obtain information as it relates to Information Technology (IT) Infrastructure Support and Services. This is not a solicitation announcement. This is an RFI to only gather information of potential qualified sources and their size classifications relative to the NAICS code referenced below. Responses to this RFI will be used by JPL to make appropriate Acquisition decisions regarding a Small Business Set-Aside procurement. The JPL Information Technology and Solutions Directorate (ITSD) is surveying the market for potential Subcontractors capable of providing a broad range of Information Technology (IT) Infrastructure Support and Services, including, but not limited to, services in (1) through (10) below. A successful Subcontractor will provide an integrated, managed solution for the JPL infrastructure and computing environment, ensuring that this environment remains current as technology evolves and that year-over-year costs decline with the capability of creating funding wedges to support new technology. 1.� Infrastructure and Platform Services ��� Compute, storage and backup both Cloud and on-premise 2.� Network Services ��� Support of both Campus Wide and Mission Networks serving 140 buildings, 48,000 access points and over 6,500 employees and 30 Missions 3.� IT Information Services ��� Level 1, 2 and 3 support for a variety of Information Services including monitoring, end-user support and triage/escalation 4.� Telecommunications Services ���� Provide telecom services from third party providers to users at JPL, fully support the Voice over IP phone system for over 6,000 users and provide support for dedicated Mission Voice communications 5.� Cable Installation and Maintenance ���� Provide telephone, network, video, and other types of cabling within and between buildings 6.� Project and Mission System Administration ���� Provide expert level System Administration personnel to support the JPL Missions and Flight Projects computing needs 7.� Cyber Security Services ���� Provide off peak hours Security Operations Center support. Provide as-required Cyber Security expertise 8.� High Performance Computing ���� Provide High Performance Computing capability on a fixed-price basis 9.� Program Management ���� Provide Program Management responsible for the day-to-day direction of the subcontractor personnel, resource planning, process improvement, quality management, cost management, and customer interface to ensure that all JPL IT operational services associated with the subcontract are delivered as required. 10. Training ����� Subcontractor personnel shall be certified, trained, and qualified for the tasks to be performed and to maintain state-of-the-art expertise. Note: Subcontractor is responsible for any and all costs (travel and training) to maintain certifications or qualifications for its personnel. Procurement Schedule A formal Request for Proposal (RFP) is expected to be released in the September to October 2022 timeframe and subcontract performance will commence in October 2023. JPL plans on issuing a draft RFP and hold an Industry Briefing prior to the release of the Final RFP. RFI Requirements At this point in the RFI process, ITSD requests that companies provide a statement of interest in this opportunity. As stated above, the expected NAICS Code for this procurement is 541513 - Computer Facilities Management Services. As part of your statement of interest, please indicate your business size classification and socio-economic status. JPL ITSD is also interested in a brief summary of your company and related experience in providing managed and support services supporting a customers IT Infrastructure Services similar to those listed above. Response Deadline All responses are requested via eMail to smallbusiness.programsoffice@jpl.nasa.gov on or before June 7, 2022, 3PM (Pacific).
