The LRIP contract purchase of T901 turboshaft engines will be used for execution of required testing to support a Full Rate Production Decision Review (FRPDR), logistics/maintainability validation and verification and demonstration(s), and First Unit Equipped (FUE). Testing during the LRIP contract will consist of Operational Capability Release (OCR) testing along with an IOTE. The IOTE will be conducted by the United States Government with maintenance support provided by the Engine Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Platform OEMs. Following the completion of the LRIP contract PoP the Government anticipates award of a total of 3 years (1-year period) contract for Full Rate Productions quantities (approximately 212 engines per year).
