- Description
- NASA Kennedy Space Center (NASA-KSC) is hereby soliciting information from potential sources for a Glow Discharge Optical Emission Spectrometer (GD-OES). NASA KSC is seeking capability statements from all interested parties, including all socioeconomic categories of Small Businesses and Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU)/Minority Institutions (MI), and members of the underserved communities as defined by Executive Order 13985, Advancing Racial Equity And Support For Underserved Communities Through The Federal Government, for the purposes of determining the appropriate level of competition and/or small business subcontracting goals for one (1) Glow Discharge Optical Emission Spectrometer (GD-OES); incidental services to include onsite installation and on-site training. The Government reserves the right to consider a Small, 8(a), Women-owned (WOSB), Service-Disabled Veteran (SD-VOSB), Economically Disadvantaged Women-owned Small Business (EDWOSB) or HUBZone business set-aside based on responses received. Required GD-OES capabilities: Shall be capable to perform simultaneous acquisition of full spectrum extending from 120 to 850 nm with solid state detectors (SSD). The instrument shall come with, ready for immediate use, factory-calibrated methods for both bulk and compositional depth profiling analyses. The unit shall provide the flexibility to add/activate new spectral lines between 120 nm and 850 nm and new elements without hardware upgrades. The unit shall come with a single glow discharge lamp capable of analyzing samples with direct current, radio frequency, and pulsed radio frequency power. Shall be capable of compositional depth profiling calibrations based on sputter-rate library without the use of any additional measurement accessory (no profilometer shall be required for accurate analysis). The instrument shall have complete control of the voltage and current, and compensates for power losses such as transmission losses, absorption losses, and radiative losses to precisely know the power going into the samples. The lamp parameters shall be constant regardless of matrix and material thickness. Standard Manufacturer Warranty shall be no less than one year Incidental services shall include installation and on-site training (no less than 3-days) on NASA KSC FOB Delivery 32899 No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on SAM.gov. Interested firms are responsible for monitoring this website for the release of any solicitation or synopsis. Vendors having the capabilities necessary to meet or exceed the stated requirements are invited to submit appropriate documentation, literature, brochures, and references. All responses shall be submitted electronically via email to Anthony Islas at anthony.islas@nasa.gov no later than 12:00 pm Eastern on 1 June 2022. Please reference NNK22ZES004L in any response. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited.
