Description

The Camp James A. Garfield Joint Military Training Site (CJAG) is a 21,683 acre training site located in northeast Ohio used by the Ohio Army National Guard (OHARNG) and other military and civil agencies. The purpose of this project is to improve an existing trail along the south perimeter of Group 7 (Training Area 71) to eventually connect to South Service Road. This project is for Phase 5 of that trail. Once fully completed and all phases constructed the improvements will provide better connectivity among training areas. The improvements will also contribute to long term sustainable use of training areas and will help avoid and/or minimize negative impacts to the environment and associated costs. The maneuver trail will have a surface hardened with stone. Some culvert replacement and installation is required as well as other drainage improvements. The trail must be able to accommodate a tractor trailer hauling heavy, tracked military equipment (tanks, bulldozers, etc.) and support the weight and movement of an M1A1 Abrams battle tank at 80 tons. Work to be accomplished includes all labor, material, equipment, and associated construction services for the following tasks:��Improve an existing trail along the southern perimeter of Group 7 (Training Area 71) for use by tanks and Bradley Fighting Vehicles.� The task includes all associated earth work, fence demolition, culvert installation, and site restoration. Antiterrorism Measures are the be included in accordance with the DoD Minimum Antiterrorism for building standards.� Our plan is to have one contractor be responsibile for all work in the scope.� This procurement will be an open bid, awarded to the a responsible construction business. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential sources for this project included interested Small Business sources and to gage whether there are enough qualified Small Businesses capable of bidding on this project. This notice is for planning purposes only.� All interested parties should respond.� USPFO-OH intends to issue a solicitation and award of a contract to ""ITAM Trail Phase 5 on CJAGMTC"" .�� Project Scope:� Project site is located on Camp James A. Garfield Joint Military Training Site (CJAGMTC), Ravenna Ohio The magnitude of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000.� All interested concerns will provide this office, in writing, a notice stating their positive into submit a bid as a prime contractor no later than 3 June 2022.� This notification, which shall not exceed 5 typewritten pages, must include (1) positive statement of intent to bid as a prime contractor, and (2) a completed and signed Sources Sought Information Request Form (Attached) and (3) A listing of projects completed during the past three years, both for government and private industry.� The type of project, dollar value, Contract Number, Location, and Point of Contact are to be included.� Indicate if you were prime or subcontractor, and if subcontractor, provide name and point of contact for the prime contractor.� (4) A brief outline of resources, subcontractors, and key personnel that would be used to accomplish the contract. In the event that adequate Small Business contractors are not available for adequate competition for this project, it may be advertised as unrestricted.� Information shall be provided via Email to:� Bradley.a.wahl.civ@army.mil.
