Description

Presolicitation Notice Timber Creek Horse Camp Reconstruction Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest, Ely Ranger District DESCRIPTION OF WORK This project includes the second phase of renovation of the Timber Creek Campground complex on the Ely Ranger District on the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest.� Specifically, this project focuses on the upgrade of the Timber Creek Equestrian Campground with bridge replacements and water system upgrades in the nearby Timber Creek Campground. The work includes: Removal and disposal of existing structures and site furnishings. Obliterating, scarifying, and re-contouring existing roads and paths. Construction of campground roads, pullouts, and camping spurs. Installing new cattleguard, culverts, and signs for roadways. Extending an existing water system to lower campsites including hydrants, valves, drain, and a creek crossing. Relocating and replacing existing equipment with manholes on an existing water system including a chlorinator, meter, and two pressure reducing valves. Installing a precast restroom with aggregate pathway. Painting existing restrooms to match the new restroom. Constructing new aggregate pathways. Constructing new footbridges on pathways. Installing new site features, including site wheel stops, kiosk, unit markers, and fee tube. Construction of new aggregate surface family units with site furniture, tent pads, equestrian equipment, and aggregate paths. Constructing a steel pipe corral fence and barb wire boundary fence. Items to be salvaged and reinstalled: Three signs. Cattleguard (salvage only). Optional work that may be awarded includes: Option #1:� Constructing new horseshoe pits and lantern hooks. Option #2:� Smooth wire boundary fence. Option #3:� Steel pipe boundary fencing. PROJECT LOCATION The project is located on the Ely Ranger District of the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest, White Pine County, NV, in Section 26, T 18 N, R 65 E.� It is located approximately 29 miles northeast of Ely, NV.� The project may be accessed from US Highway 93, Duck Creek Road, and Forest Road 425 (Timber Creek Road). Contract Time: The work anticipated under any contract resulting from this solicitation estimated start date August 1, 2022 and be completed within 120 calendar days from issuances of Notice to Proceed. Site Visit June 29, 2022 at 1400 Pacific Time, meet at the project location. The magnitude of proposed project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Project drawings will be provided as attachments to the Request for Proposal (RFP). The complete solicitation package will be attached and made available only through SAM.gov, https://sam.gov/content/home on or within 15 days of this notice.� Anyone wishing to participate in this proposed procurement must obtain their copy from SAM.gov.� Copies will not be mailed from the Contracting Office.� All amendments will be posted on SAM.gov.� Contractors will be solely responsible for obtaining amendments from this site to update files. This requirement is being solicited as a Small Business set-aside in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 19.1405, with the intent to award a Firm-Fixed Price contract.� A single award will be made from the solicitation. All prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at http:www.sam/gov/ before award of contract; failure to register in the SAM database may cause your firm to be ineligible for the award and removed from consideration.
