- Description
- SOLICITATION: 36C25222B0027 AMENDMENT: 0001 May 23, 2022 Project: EHRM Installation of Data Drops and Power Outlets (DDPO) Project Number: 676-21-702 Location: Tomah VA Medical Center, Tomah, WI Amendment 0001 hereby incorporates the following clarifications/change(s) into the solicitation package. A: BID opening Date Change: Date has been extended from Wednesday, May 25, 2022, to Wednesday, June 1, 2022. *Wednesday June 1, 2022, at 12:30 PM (CST) Due to national COVID-19 pandemic masks are required. B. Questions and Answers Received from Contractor on 5/6/2022 There are no electrical rooms shown on published drawings to show where to get power. Can you provide the locations from which we will get power for the outlet installation? We suggest that we use the panels located near each area of work; please confirm VA REPLY: See revised drawings provided in this amendment. On the site visit it was mentioned that there would be specific ICRA requirements in the CLC areas, but we do not see these areas clearly identified on the drawings. Can you confirm which locations have specific dust/containment requirements and what these requirements are? VA REPLY: The Tomah VAMC operates all areas with the same listed ICRA level; no exemptions are made on campus. We are requesting that contractors be COVID tested every 72 hours while working in CLC spaces on campus. This testing is provided by the Tomah VA once registration is completed with employee health. The process usually takes less than 20 minutes to register. What is the required shut-down process for installing power in panels and who must this be coordinated with? VA REPLY: A utility outage sheet must be filled out and provided to the VA with coordination between engineering and Facility services. This request needs to be submitted two weeks prior to requested shutdown. Who is responsible for moving equipment that is located in areas where new devices are to be installed? VA REPLY: This is the contractor s responsibility. Will free air cabling be allowed? The ceilings appear to be very congested and conduit installation will be very difficult. VA REPLY: J hooks for Category 6A needs to be used for cables to properly support cabling. Will MC type cable be allowed? VA REPLY: MC cable is NOT allowed. Are there alternate drawings for Bldgs. 411 and 412 - the device locations on these drawings appear to be off - (ex., one of them shows data and power in a restroom) VA REPLY: See revised drawings provided in this amendment. On the site visit it was noted that there are some ongoing construction/remodeling projects (blood lab and urgent care areas). Will the SOW incorporate the new data and power needs for these areas or is it excluded from this SOW? VA REPLY: At this time, they will still be included due to timelines of spaces being worked on. Please confirm the available working hours, any restricted areas, any areas needing advanced notice and coordination process for any limited access areas. VA REPLY: Standard work hours are detailed in the SOW, area with restricted access are CLC spaces on campus which are focused in 2nd and 3rd floors in 400 buildings except 407 and 408. 411 and 412 are also CLC spaces. Most work can be completed during the day with coordination with nurse managers on floors. For CLC spaces ensure testing is completed before entering spaces. Is there a published Wage Determination document associated with this solicitation? VA REPLY: Davis-Bacon Act WD # WI20220011. See Amendment 0001 attachment. Page 1 of SOW document refers to Attachment 1 and Attachment 2, but I do not find documents with this naming. Please advise, where can I locate a copy of Attachment 1 - List of Devices and Attachment 2 - locations (I presume that the drawing package may serve as Attachment 2) Attachment 1 - has been added to the solicitation, and you are correct on attachment 2. C. Attachments: Att 1 - Wage Determination Att 2 - Updated Drawings Att 3 - List of End User Devices D. Forthcoming Site Visit Sign in sheet (End of Document)
