- Questions and Answers #1 through #4 provided below and as an attachment.� Proposals remain due 2:00 PM ET Tuesday 24 May 2022.��Acknowledge receiving below Q&A #1-4 in administrative section of your proposal. Question #1:� What is the size and who is providing the concrete pad for the new chiller? Answer #1:� Contractor shall provide concrete pad for new chiller. �Size of pad shall extend approximately four inches beyond its mounted equipment on all sides.� See Specification Section 23 64 10 Subparagraph 3.1.8.1 Refrigeration System Equipment (PDF page 366).� Government is also advising Contractor of a typographical error in above-mentioned citation in that the 400 psi strength requirement should read 4,000 psi, consistent with concrete pad detail on Drawing Sheet M-501.� Also, see General Note #23 on Drawing Sheet M-001. Question #2:� Who will be removing the ceiling grid? Answer #2:� Pursuant to Specification Section 02 41 00, Paragraph 3.1.6 Acoustical Ceiling Tile, �Remove, neatly stack, and reuse acoustic ceiling tiles.�� Similarly, Contractor shall remove grid to accommodate the Work and restore acoustical ceiling system to its original or better condition. Question #3:� What are the accommodations for Contractor when installing fan coil units, chilled and condensate piping down the hallway, and each of the offices? Answer #3:� Contractor shall coordinate sequencing of work with the building occupants via the NUWCDIVNPT Construction Manager, i.e., the NUWCDIVNPT Code 1022 Contracting Officer�s Representative, to be identified at time of award in Section G of the contract. Question #4:� Is there a requirement to perform work off hours? Answer #4:� The electrical tie-ins may require off work hours for outages. Acknowledge receiving above Q&A #1-4 in administrative section of your proposal. (End of Questions and Answers) Replace variable refrigerant volume (VRF) system for a chilled water fan coil unit system to include a chiller at Building 102.� Scope includes replacing the steam valves to be connected into the direct digital control (DDC) system, connecting the energy recovery ventilators (ERV) to the system, and electric duct heaters for the ERV ducts.� Contractor shall provide chiller, chilled water piping, expansion, glycol system, cassette fan coil units, controls, electric duct heaters, and electrical connections.� Contractor shall provide DDC, testing and balancing, commissioning, performance verification testing, and incidental related work. Onsite Contractor supervision will require at least two qualified individuals to serve in the role of superintendent, quality control (QC) manager, and site safety and health officer.� The only duties and responsibilities of the QC Manager are to manage and implement the quality control program.� There is an additional requirement for a Commissioning Authority.
