Description
The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to issue Request for Proposal (RFP) number N00024-22-R-2302 to Huntington Ingalls Industries, Inc., Ingalls Shipbuilding (HII), 1000 Access Road, Pascagoula, MS 39568, and General Dynamics Bath Iron Works (BIW) 700 Washington Street, Bath, ME 04530 utilizing Multi-Year Procurement (MYP) authority for the construction of USS ARLEIGH BURKE (DDG 51) Class Guided Missile Destroyers and associated supplies and support efforts.� This solicitation will be a limited competition between HII and BIW.� The associated supplies and support efforts consist of: Class Standard Equipment; on-board spares and repair parts; installation and checkout spares; equipment; fitting out support; associated technical data and reports; special tools and test equipment for Government test and checkout; and production and industrial support related to ship construction. �If authorized by law and funds are appropriated, the scope of these contracts will be for construction of up to ten firm DDG 51 Flight III ships in Fiscal Year (FY) 2023-2027 at a rate of up to two ships per year. �Additionally, the Navy intends to establish Option ships in order to accommodate additional ships that may be appropriated by congress.� HII and BIW are the only two shipyards with the current capability to build DDG 51 Class AEGIS Destroyers.� The contracts will be awarded without full and open competition pursuant to 10 USC 2304(c)(3) (see also: 10 USC 3204(a)(3)(A)), Industrial Mobilization; Engineering, Development, or Research Capability; or Expert Services.� Companies interested in subcontracting opportunities should contact BIW and HII directly.� This pre-solicitation notice is being posted to the Government-wide Point of Entry (GPE) page located at http://sam.gov.� Disclaimer:� This pre-solicitation notice is for information only and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to solicit contractual offers or award contracts.� The Government is not soliciting, nor will it accept, proposals as a result of this synopsis.� The Government will not reimburse respondents for any questions submitted or information provided as a result of this notice.� This is not an RFP or a promise to issue an RFP and this information is subject to modification and in no way binds the Government to award a contract.
