Description

This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract and is not a request for quotes. The Department of Veterans Affairs Buffalo VA Medical Center intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP), brand name only, sole source action against a Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) to; Name of Contractor: 3M Government Street Address: 3M Center Bldg 225-04-N-14 City, State, Zip: St. Paul, MN 55144 The objective of this action is the procurement of 3M Powered Air Purifying Respirators (PAPRs), part# TR-300N+, and associated items. Market research has concluded 3M is the only manufacturer to meet the compatibility standardization requirements of Buffalo VA Medical Center. The Veterans Health Administration prohibits the use of gray market items in their Medical Centers. Gray market items are considered to be items outside of the original equipment manufacturer s intended distribution channels.
