Description

The Agricultural Research Service (ARS) of USDA has a glazing system replacement requirement at the GH 398A (greenhouse of Plant Science Research Unit (PSRU)) located at 1535 Lindig St, St. Paul, MN, 55108. PROJECT SCOPE: Removal of the existing glazing system and the replacement with new glazing system along miscellaneous work components in accordance with the Statement of Work, project specifications and project drawings. Site visits are tentatively scheduled for July 6th and July 7th 2022. The same information will be provided at all site visits, so offerors only need to attend one. Additional details, including how to register for the site visit, will be provided in the solicitation. SOLICITATION PERIOD: A request for proposal is scheduled to release on or about June 6, 2022. Proposals will be due on or about July 18, 2022. SOLICITATION PROCEDURES: The acquisition will be issued unrestricted to large and small businesses. The Request for Proposal will use the contract opportunities domain on the www.sam.gov website. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238150, Glass and Glazing Contractors. The anticipated period of performance is estimated to be 365 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. A Bid Guarantee, Performance Bond, and Payment Bond will be required. It is anticipated that the Request for Proposal will result in a single firm-fixed price contract award. This is an electronically issued acquisition. The solicitation will be available at the Contract Opportunities domain on SAM.gov. Offerors are responsible for routinely checking the website for any possible solicitation amendments that may be issued. All responsible offerors may submit a proposal. To be eligible for award, offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management. Electronic proposals submitted via email is required. This procurement requires the use of biobased products to the extent that such products are reasonably available, meet agency or relevant industry performance standards, and are reasonably priced. Where available, these products should first be acquired from among qualified products that fall under the umbrella of items designated through the USDA BioPreferred Program.
