Description
Alternate Contingency Pharmacy Project Number: 528A7-22-160 Project Address: 800 Irving Ave Syracuse, NY 13210 Statement of Work Scope of Work: The General Contractor shall provide labor, supervision, materials, and equipment per the construction documents for project 528A7-22-160, Alternate Contingency Pharmacy. This project involves mechanical renovation of an existing pharmacy dispensary waiting area to accommodate a contingency USP800 pharmaceutical compounding suite. The contract area of performance is in Building 1, including: over 360 square feet (SF) in vicinity of C105; C303 and C301C; and roofs 12 and 13. The new compounding suite will consist of these five spaces: C105 Entry, C105A Garb, C105B Anteroom (ISO Class 7), C105C Hazardous Mixing Room (ISO Class 7), and C105D Non-Hazardous Mixing Room (ISO Class 7). C105C utilizes a Class II B2 Biological Safety Hood, requiring dedicated exhaust. The scope of work includes demolition of the existing mechanical equipment as well as installation of new mechanical construction, including a dedicated exhaust fan. Existing material to demolish consists of a limited amount of ductwork and hydronic piping. New work includes: installation of new ductwork, heating coils, hydronic piping, exhaust fan assembly, fire dampers associated equipment; new supports for equipment and ductwork; patching EPDM roofing as needed. New exhaust ductwork will be routed up the exterior of the building to terminate over the roofline. Existing C105 and surrounding pharmacy area s HVAC is fed from AHU-21A, located in C113. Interruption to mechanical service to surrounding areas must be kept to a minimum and coordinated per the contract specifications. Contract work must not interfere with Medical Center business in adjacent areas, as stipulated in the specifications. The work covered under this contract will coincide with other construction services performed by the Government. Certain materials will be Government Furnished, Contractor Installed (GFCI) as indicated in the construction documents. Delivery of such material will be coordinated between the Contracting Officer s Representative (COR) and the Contractor. Period of Performance: The intent is for construction in Summer 2022. The duration of this project is 60 days for submittals and 120 days for construction for a total period of performance of 180 days. The Contractor is to submit a detailed construction schedule to the Contracting Officer (CO and COR for review and approval. In addition, the contractor is to provide contact information for all individuals who will be working on-site 7 days before starting the work.
