Description

Synopsis: W91ZLK-22-Q-0026 This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures for Commercial Items. The ACC-APG Tenant Contracting Division, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source supply contract to Air Systems International, Inc Cage Code: 42905. The objective of this contract is the acquisition of One Cascade Breathing Air Trailer (CBT25) in support of �the US Army CBRNE Analytical Remediation Activity (CARA) at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. The (CBT25) is a combination of custom parts, designs, and equipment used for the missions. Air Systems International has specially tailored, designed, and created this unit to meet CARA(s) unique operational and mission needs for recovery while working with weapons of mass destruction and their environments. The new trailer and it's associated equipment is an update to the current equipment already in use from Air Systems International. It has space for 25 large steel breathing air cylinders, 5 hose reels, an air control panel, a smaller cylinder fill station, and a climate control system. This requirement is unique that only Air Systems Inc is capable of satisfying the Government needs due to compatibility with the existing air systems.The company owns the proprietary rights to the engineering plans .As such, this requirement will be awarded on a sole-source basis IAW FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) Soliciting from a single source ( exclusive licensing agreements). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 336212. Posting date of this requirement is 26 May 2022. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 4:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time, 8 June 2022. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government. This is not a Request for Quote. This is a written notice to inform the public of the Government's intent to award on a sole source basis the required services.
