- Description
- Notus Sensors This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice and in accordance with the simplified acquisition procedures authorized in FAR Part 13. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. New requirement, no incumbent. This solicitation is being issued as a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The associated NAICS code is 334511. The small business size standard is 1,250 employees. Please provide quotes on companies letterhead, no formal quote form provided. The Northeast Fisheries Science Centers (NEFSC), Ecosystems Surveys Branch (ESB) is requesting the purchase of 9 Trawl Master Single Trawl sensors for use on the Northern Shrimp Survey which occurs each summer on the NEFSC R/V Gloria Michelle per attached Statement of Need. BRAND NAME REQUIREMENT: The Northeast Fisheries Science Center already owns Notus Trawl Master spread, headrope, and ground contact sensors, a communications module and hydrophone for the R/V Gloria Michelle and utilize the Notus Trawlmaster net monitoring system during the Northern Shrimp Survey conducted annually in July. Hydrophones are specific to a particular net mensuration system and major changes to the vessel hydrophone would require dry dock time and considerable expense outside of Ecosystems Survey Branch control. ESB also has invested in custom made specific sensor brackets for the Notus systems. Any new trawl sensor system would need modifications to the custom brackets or new brackets designed and built. Notus has several US resellers. (VII) DELIVERY ADDRESS DOC/NOAA/NMFS/NEFSC/FMRD/ESB Ecosystems Survey Branch - Shellfish Program 166 Water Street Woods Hole, MA 02543 DELIVERY SCHEDULE: Delivery is expected 4-6 weeks from the date of award, prior to ESB spring and summer surveys. See attached full Combined Synopsis with all terms and conditions which all vendors must be in compliance with to be eligible for award. PLEASE PROVIDE YOUR WILL OR WILL NOT STATEMENT PER 52.204-24 (OCT 2020) UNLESS YOUR REPS AND CERTS HAVE BEEN UPDATED IN SAM PER 52.204-26 (OCT 2020).
