Description
The Federal Aviation Administration, Enroute Construction group is conducting a Market Survey to improve the Government�s understanding of the current marketplace for a manufactured curved, continuous wheelchair lift that meets the requirements of The Buy American Act as outlined in Executive Order 140005 �Ensuring the Future is Made in All of America by All of America�s Workers� issued January 25, 2021, placing additional emphasis on using Federal procurements to maximize the use of goods, products, and materials offered in, and services offered in, the United States. Responses to this Market Survey will be used for informational purposes only. This is not a solicitation for proposals.� No contract shall be awarded, nor will reimbursement be made for any costs associated with providing information, in response to this announcement. Any costs associated with the market survey submittal are solely at the interested vendor�s expense. The FAA is seeking sources or information�for specific equipment as follows: One (1) curved, continuous wheelchair lift (multiple runs of stairs in an oblong spiral path), on the interior railing of a stairwell with the same or similar specifications: Capacity: �at least 660 lbs. Travel: Up to about 15 meters Stops: �Minimum 4�������������������������������� Drive System: 2 Horse Power (HP) Drive System Features: Emergency manual lowering and folding Power Supply:� 208-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz on a dedicated 20 amp circuit Speed: 20 fpm, slowing prior to corners and when approaching or departing landings Platform Configuration/Size: 800x1220 mm (31 1/2"" x 48"") Power platform with a non-skid surface Door Operation and Clear Opening Width: Low-energy, power-operated doors that remain open for at least 20 seconds minimum; end door with minimum 32-inch and side door with minimum 42- inch clear opening width Call Station Controls: constant pressure switches automatically fold and unfolds the curved safety arms, platform and ramps � keyed Two-way communication system: for use in the event of failure. Platform Controls: Constant pressure directional switches with Emergency Stop Switch and on-board alarm On-board pedestrian audio alert Platform sensor detects obstructions Bi-directional ramp sensing Pedestrian safety lights on platform Fully automatic safety arms Folding seat on hanger Axillary battery backup Steel and Galvanized-Steel Factory Finish ASME A18.1 Code Compliance Must meet the Buy American Act as stated in Acquisition Management System (AMS) Policy and Clauses: 3.6.4.1 Buy American Act Revised 9/2020 3.6.4-3 Buy American Act - Construction Materials�(Jan 2022) 3.6.4-5 Buy American - Steel and Manufactured Products�(Jan 2022) Responses to this announcement shall include the following: Company name, address, point of contact, phone number, and email address Tailored capability statements addressing the particulars of this effort All responses to the sources or information sought shall be electronically submitted to the Contract Specialist, Jacqueline T.
