- Description
- A purchase order was awarded to Data Security, Inc. of Lincoln, NE on a sole source basis to procure a National Security Agency (NSA) compliant SSD (Solid State Drive) Drive Shredder/Solid State Media Destroyer (SSMD) for quasi office environment (limited floor space and sound level concerns) and volume capacity required to supplement the Government�s in-house hard (spin) drive destruction and disposal capability. The device must be on the NSA/Central Security Service Evaluated Products List (EPL) for Solid State Disintegrators and pass evaluation by the NSA for physical destruction of solid state media (per DON CIO Naval Message dated 16-Jun-2020) including solid state drives (SSD), flash drives, smart phones and CD/DVD optical media, to the required 2mm particle size. The NSA listed Data Security SSMD-2mm is the only unit available at this time that meets the Government�s requirements. Due to the aforementioned, Data Security, Inc. was the only source able to satisfy this requirement.
