- This is a notice of intent to solicit from a single source for the USGS Geology, Minerals, Energy and Geophysics Science Center, Menlo Park, CA The US Geological Survey (USGS) intends to negotiate a purchase order with Leica Geosystems (DBA) IDS GeoRadar for the purchase of one ground-based interferometric synthetic aperture radar linear scanner in accordance with the required features and specifications below. Leica Geosystems (DBA) IDS GeoRadar is the only known manufacturer that has the required specifications that meets the governments minimum needs. Award will be made in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b) and the procedures at FAR Part 12 entitled, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13 entitled, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The purpose of this notice is to satisfy the requirements of FAR Subpart 5.2. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, all responsible parties may submit a quotation by the closing date of this announcement which shall be considered by the agency. No solicitation will be issued. A determination not to compete this action based upon responses received is in the sole discretion of the Government. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code - 334513 Instruments and Related Products Manufacturing for Measuring, Displaying, and Controlling Industrial Process Variables, with the associated size standard of 750 employees apply to this announcement. Responses or inquiries shall only be accepted through electronic mail addressed to thuot@usgs.gov and must be uploaded and received in their entirety no later than 06/15/2022 1700 PD. Responses submitted by hardcopy or through SAM.gov shall not be accepted or considered. Required features and specifications: -Compatible with existing USGS IDS IBIS-FM radar head -2-meter length for interferometric applications -All-weather operation -Integrated USB and power cables to connect IDS GeoRadar radar head -Fully tested -Included USB and power cables -Included tilt-mount for IBIS-FM radar head -Included mounting hardware -Included set-up template -Included wood shipping container with handles -1 year warranty on parts
