- THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT, NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. A SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND PROPOSALS WILL NOT BE REQUESTED The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Clinical Center (CC), Radiology & Imaging Sciences(R&IS), intends to enter into a contract on a sole source basis, under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1) and FAR 6.302-1 to�procure a�contract with Werres Corporation��Inc.��807 E. South Street Frederick, MD 21701 for rental of material handling equipment.Bethesda and Rockville campuses.��This requirement is sole source acquisition to the current vendor for continued services using the material handling equipment with NIH installed chargers. Materials Management Engineering Services Department (MMESD) has a requirement to rent Raymond Materials Handling Equipment to be able to receive, pull, and load medical supplies onto warehouse storage racks . These medical supplies are for the direct support of patient care at the NIH Clinical Center. Salient Characteristics of this equipment are �provided in the table below: QTY: 1 MODEL : Raymond Deep Reach TRUCK SPECIFICATIONS:�DR32TT, 107/237 mas spec, 36 Volt, 21.12� BC, reverse only travel alarm QTY: 1 MODEL: Raymond 4460 Sit Down Counterbalance TRUCK SPECIFICATIONS: C3OTT, 83/188 mast spec, 36 Volt, 21.54� BC, all travel alarm The Period of Performance (POP) shall consist of a twelve month (12) Rental Period commencing on the Date of Award and concluding twelve (12) months after Contract Award. If there are other sources able to supply the required material, they must respond by submitting a capability statement within� 7 days of publication of this synopsis. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received prior to the closing date of this synopsis will be considered solely for the purpose �of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. �A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. RESPONDENTS MAY SUBMIT THEIR CAPABILITY STATEMENTS VIA E-MAIL TO THE POINT OF CONTACT LISTED IN THIS NOTICE OF INTENT SYNOPSIS. Each response should include the following Business Information a.
