- 15K environmental control unit (ECU) portable two-wheeled cart� 4 each; provide environmental temperature controls within tactical network operation tents during field exercises. (1) 25�x21.5�x39.25� (2) Portable system on wheels (3) Power 115VAC/1 Phase/60 Hz (1.55-3.19 kW) 15K ECU provides for simple transport, storage and deployment featuring a two-wheeled cart type chassis making it ideal for a single person set-up. The ECU is set-up outside a shelter and its 10"" (25.4 cm) supply and return air ducts are connected to the ECU and routed through the shelter duct ports provided in the shelter wall. The ECU will provide the ability to control the temperature while operating a network system in a tactical environment for our Joint NODE Network (JNN) team, Command post network (CPN) teams, and Unit Command Post electronic systems. This will prevent fatigue of electronic systems from overheating and lower the possibilities of becoming non mission capable costing an estimated $5-$20k in repairs based an previous maintenance history. The ECU system is portable allowing easy movement for set up and power requirements are either a 3k or 5k generator which the unit currently has both on the MTOE.
