Responses to this Sources Sought must be in writing. The purpose of this Sources Sought Announcement is for market research, to make appropriate acquisition decisions, and to gain knowledge of potential qualified businesses capable of providing the following: - F18 Prostate-specific Membrane Agent (PSMA) for the Wichita VA Medical Center This requirement is for Base and Four (4) Option Year *** See Statement of Requirement below for details *** The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this Sources sought is 325412 Pharmaceutical Preparation Manufacturing, with a size Standard of 1,250 Employees, and Product Service Code (PSC) of 6505. Point of Contact for this Sources Sought is: Emilio.ballentos@va.gov (913) 946 - 1981 Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office -15 3450 S. 4th Street Trafficway Leavenworth, KS. 66048.  STATEMENT OF REQUIREMENT F18 Prostate-specific Membrane Agent (PSMA) 1. INTRODUCTION This requirement is to provide an F18 prostate-specific membrane agent radiopharmaceutical, to the Veterans Health Administration, Wichita Radiology Department. The services to be performed by the contractor shall be performed in accordance to VA policies and procedures and the regulations of the medical staff by laws of the VA facility. 2. BACKGROUND There are two different brands approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration. Axumin Fluciclovine F18 was approved in late May 2016 and Pylarify piflufolastat F18 was approved on May 26, 2021. This injectable drug is a molecular imaging agent used in positron emission tomography imaging to identify suspected sites of prostate cancer recurrence in men who have elevated blood levels of prostate specific antigen following prior treatment. It is estimated that the Robert J Dole VA Medical Center would purchase about 40 Axumin Fluciclovine or Pylarify Piflufolastat doses per year. 3. Requirements The contractor shall have an adequate supply of contract products available to meet the requirements of the Robert J Dole VAMC. Contractor shall label all supplies as to the amount of radiopharmaceutical, preparation time, expiration time, date, etc. compliant with nuclear medicine information system. All packaging of radioactive material MUST BE clearly labeled RADIOACTIVE on the outside of the shipping carton. Contractor shall perform all quality control procedures as required by Federal and State regulatory agencies and Joint Commission. Contractor shall meet all Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Department of Transportation, FDA, OSHA, and all other agency rules and regulations (Federal and State). Contractor shall provide prepared single unit doses of PET-radiopharmaceuticals to Robert J Dole VAMC as ordered and at agreed upon price. Contractor shall notify Robert J Dole VAMC PET Department to arrange a time for doses the be delivered as close to the requested time as to provide timely care to patients. Deliveries must be accepted by Nuclear Medicine staff. Normal working hours for the Nuclear Medicine Service are Monday through Friday, 6:30am through 4:30pm Contractor shall accept returns for credit under the following conditions: Product(s) ordered or shipped in error Product(s) damaged in shipment Concealed shipping damages Recalled product(s) Outdated products in unopened, original container (specifically authorized for return by manufacturer). 5.
