Description

Sources Sought Notice for Certified Weed-Free Hay: The USDA Forest Service, Procurement & Property Services (PPS), is conducting market research to determine interest in providing certified weed-free hay within the Bend, Madras and Prineville Oregon area. �The need for weed-free hay will be on an annual basis in the fall/winter dependent on the number of wild horses captured and removed each year.� We estimate a ton of certified weed-free hay needed per 10 wild horses each month they are cared for.� Starting in the fall of 2022, we plan to capture up to 50 horses and care for them for an estimated month so at a minimum, we are looking for 5-6 tons of certified weed-free hay.� This workload is estimated to remain the same for the next 5 years and then decrease to a need of 1-2 tons of certified weed-free hay annually.� The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 111940 Hay Farming. �Size Standard: $2.25 Million. The Product and Service Classification code is 8710 Forage and Feed. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This notice does NOT constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bid. No formal solicitation document exists at this time.
