Description
This is a SOURCES SOUGHT notice to determine the capabilities of small business firms for a small business set-aside. If your firm is a Small Business, certified HUBZone, 8A, Woman- Owned Small Business or Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Business and you are interested in this project please respond appropriately.� This notice does not constitute a solicitation announcement, nor does it restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach. No solicitation or technical scope of services is available at this time. The Government will use the responses to this SOURCES SOUGHT notice to make acquisition decisions. Small businesses are strongly encouraged to review this SOURCES SOUGHT and submit according to the directions in this notice. Contract duration is estimated to be 18 months, NAICS code is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, which has a size standard of $39.5 million in average annual receipts.� Award of a Firm Fixed Priced Construction Contract is being considered.� This contract will have a period of performance of 18 months and have a cost estimate range between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. Description: The HPUs at the Chicago Lock are to be modified to improve their reliability. This scope of work involves modifying the existing four Hydraulic Power Units that service the hydraulic motors at the Chicago Lock and purchasing one more compact spare Hydraulic Power Unit located on-site. Also, part of the scope is revising the bottom adapter plate shaft/spherical bearing pressed fit connection to a splined connection to allow quick replacement of the hydraulic motor/pinion assembly. The structural frame holding the hydraulic motor will also be modified to allow for easy replacement of assembly.� � All interested Small Business, certified HUBZone, 8A, Woman- Owned Small Business or Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Business contractors should respond to this SOURCES SOUGHT by email no later than 16 June 2022 by 4:00 PM.� The following requests are designed to apprise the US Army Corps of Engineers, Chicago District, of any prospective small business construction project execution capabilities. �Please provide your response to the following. The submission is limited to 3 most relevant projects and a maximum of 12 pages of information. Responses should include: 1. Identification and verification of the company's small business status. 2. Contractor's Unique Identifier Number and CAGE Code(s). 3. Documentation from the firm's bonding company showing current single and aggregate performance and payment bond limits. 4. Descriptions of Experience - Interested firms must provide specification sheets for all equipment to determine if the firm can provide the requested equipment. Provide a description of your firm�s past experience on completed projects within the last ten years which are similar to this project in scope.� a. Projects similar in scope to this project include: i.� Hydraulic power unit installation and modifications ii. Steel fabrications for navigational lock operating machinery b. Based on the information above, for each project submitted, include: Current percentage of construction complete and the date when it was or will be completed. Scope of the project. Size of the project. The dollar value of the construction contract. The type and percentage of the contract cost, that was self-performed as physical construction by construction trade(s). Identify the number of subcontractors by construction trade utilized for each project. Documentation from the firm�s bonding company showing current single and aggregate performance and payment bond limits. The portion and percentage of the project that was self-performed. Demonstrate and provide successful Design/Bid/Build Projects within the last 5 years. Verification of any socio-economic certification.
