- Description
- Tree shelters to be purchased to protect seedlings for the reforestation planting projects occurring on two districts of the Lincoln National Forest. Location: D1- Lincoln NF, Smokey Bear RD, Ruidoso NM 88345 D2- Lincoln NF, Sacramento RD, Cloudcroft NM 88317 Requirements: Pre-assembled with three wire staking legs attached to the base which allow 8� of soil penetration for stability. The shelter will be manufactured of solid polymer material with no mesh, and sufficiently rigid to allow the shelter to be pushed into workable soil without the use of driving tools. The tree shelter shall be made of High-UV polymer material to withstand the southwest climate. The shelter shall be conical in shape, approximately 18 inches in height, with the base being approximately 7 inches in diameter and tapering to approximately 4 inches at the open top.
