- Description
- The Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) is a U.S. Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) installation, operated by Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (CONTRACTOR), comprising approximately 3,561 square kilometers (1,375 square miles) of federally owned land located in southeastern Nye County, Nevada. CONTRACTOR also operates the North Las Vegas Facility (NLV); the Remote Sensing Lab at Nellis AFB, North Las Vegas, NV (RSLN); the Remote Sensing Lab at Andrews AFB, Maryland (RSLA); Special Technologies Lab at Santa Barbara, CA (STL); Livermore Operations at Livermore, CA (LO); and Los Alamos Operations at Los Alamos, NM (LAO). CONTRACTOR provides experimental support for the Stockpile Stewardship Program to ensure the nation�s remaining nuclear weapons stockpile remains safe, secure, and effective. These activities include breakthrough nuclear experiments, the use of world-class diagnostic measurement systems, high-tech computer simulations, and detailed engineering analysis.� As part of this work, CONTRACTOR supports the national laboratories in specializing in Mission Critical prototype fabrication for experimental activities across the Nuclear Weapons Complex. These include, but not limited to precision parts, tools, and Research and Development (R&D) hardware. The basic scope of work is for the SUBCONTRACTOR to provide quality fabrication and delivery of high precision tools, dies, molds, and complex parts from written descriptions, and/or drawings. All work shall be authorized by the release of Task Orders. The SUBCONTRACTOR shall: 1. Provide labor, materials, and facilities to perform fabrication, precision machining, and assemblies. 2. Provide machinery/equipment necessary to meet requirements. 3. Capabilities shall include; saw cutting, welding, simple/complex bonding methods for various materials, marking and stamping. 4. Have ability for proper turning, grinding, and milling. At times, precision finishing to exceedingly tight tolerances may be required. 5. Procure required material from parts lists, written descriptions and/or drawings. 6. Material required, but not limited to; carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, brass, nickel, titanium, alloys and/or plastics. 7. Have capabilities to provide assembly work from minor installation of bearings/bushings to building major subassemblies. 8. All work will be General Services, using SUBCONTRACTOR�S quality program. 9. SUBCONTRACTOR shall perform quality assurance inspections and provide CONTRACTOR with documented reports. SUBCONTRACTOR must be registered for International Traffic In Arms Regulations (ITAR) Subcontract duration shall be five (5) years from the effective date of the subcontract NAICS Code 332710 - Small Business Size Standard 500 employees Please tell us if you are a Small Business
