- Description
- The Army Contracting Command-Aberdeen Proving Ground Belvoir Division is announcing a Technical Exchange Meeting (TEM) on behalf of the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM), Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) Center, Research & Technology Integration Directorate (RTI), and the Army Science and Technology (S&T) community for the Universal 360 Situational Awareness and Targeting (U360) Program. The TEM will be held virtually using Microsoft Teams on 29-30 March 2022. The purpose of this meeting is to provide industry and academia with an overview of the program and solicit sources capable of providing technologies as listed. The Army has a desire to mature recent advances in sensors, displays, computer vision, Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning (AI/ML), and platform architectures for ground vehicle platforms. The Army requires a mature platform-agnostic, scalable Universal 360 degree sensor system and data framework to provide advanced situational awareness and targeting information to the vehicles crew and dismounts. This Modular Open System Architecture (MOSA) approach will be compatible across Program Executive Office Ground Combat Systems (PEO GCS) vehicles with B-Kit installation of sensing and processing modules providing multi-band sensing, AI-enabled tracking, and advanced data and target location capabilities that will integrate with and provide information to the vehicle fire control. The full intended capability will provide shortened sensor to shooter times, increased driver, crew, and dismount safety, and 360 Situational Awareness of external conditions and threats for the entire crew and onboard troops. The goal of this TEM is to communicate developments achieved within the traditional defense community, as well as the private sector, including those firms and academic institutions outside that do not traditionally do work with the U.S. Army.
