Description

The Naval Medical Research Center intends to award a sole source contract to Illumina, Inc., San Diego, CA 92122. This is not a request for competitive proposals; however, if interested, the Government shall consider all responses. The Genomics Department of the Biological Defense Research Directorate, Naval Medical Research�Center maintains a state-of-the-art genomics and bioinformatics research program. The Department is�currently engaged in sequencing COVID-19 samples for studies aimed at contributing to the�scientific knowledge base of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. �As part of this program, the Illumina sequencing instruments are utilized. These systems�are the DoD-accepted standard in High-throughput Sequencing (HTS) workflows. This capability�necessitates purchase of reagents and supplies for Illumina sequencers. �Without these reagent�kits, the capability to analyze samples in support of the mission is compromised. �These are�specialized, highly technical, state-of-the-art instruments that utilize OEM reagents and supplies.�There are no other reagents that can be used in these instruments.� POP: FY22 - FY23; One base year. �
