Agency: United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Contract Opportunity Type: Pre-Solicitation All Dates/Times are: Eastern Standard time, USA Classification Product Service Code: R497 � Support Professional � Personal Services Contracts NAICS Code: 541690 � Other Scientific and Technical Consulting Services or 928120 � International Affairs Place of Performance: Washington, DC Description USAID intends to issue a solicitation for a Personal Services Contract (PSC) for the position, Indigenous Peoples Issues Advisor, GS-14 equivalent for USAID�s for the Development, Democracy and Innovation Bureau, Inclusive Development Hub. The Senior Advisor for Indigenous Peoples Issues�will provide technical support to USAID operating units on issues related to Indigenous People�s rights and USAID�s Policy on Promoting the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (PRO-IP). The Senior Advisor will advise the USAID Administrator on matters relating to the rights and needs of indigenous peoples internationally and represent the United States Government (USG) on such matters in meetings with foreign governments and multilateral institutions; provide for the oversight and coordination of USG resources, programs, projects, and activities to protect the rights and address the needs of indigenous peoples internationally; and develop and coordinate assistance strategies for indigenous peoples with specific goals, guidelines, benchmarks, and impact assessments (including support for local indigenous peoples' organizations). The duration of the contract period is anticipated to be one, one-year, base period with four optional one-year periods for a maximum duration of five years in total. The solicitation will be published on System for Award Management (SAM). �Interested parties are advised to periodically monitor this website for updates on this potential opportunity. Except for the above information, no additional information regarding this planned solicitation is available at this time. All necessary information will be supplied at the time the solicitation is issued. USAID will not respond to any questions or requests for information until the solicitation is issued. USAID will not accept applications prior to issuance of the solicitation. Issuance of the pre-solicitation notice and any subsequent RFP does not constitute an award commitment on the part of USAID, nor does it commit USAID to pay for any costs incurred in the preparation and submission of any application.
