A public reading of the bids will take place at 1:00PM EST on 06/15/2022 and will be held on Microsoft Teams. Those who wish to attend can call in at +1 205-235-3524,728334786# Phone Conference ID: 728 334 786# or the following link: https://teams.microsoft.com/l/meetup-join/19%3ameeting_ODJhZDBmMGYtMmVjNy00ZTU2LWE3ZTYtOWJiNWY0NjVjYWM5%40thread.v2/0?context=%7b%22Tid%22%3a%22e95f1b23-abaf-45ee-821d-b7ab251ab3bf%22%2c%22Oid%22%3a%22f2882d72-c4b3-4a34-aaf6-aa4f6b0c6d13%22%7d RFI Responses Who are the companies that attended the mandatory site visit? Can we get a list? COR: Sign In Roster is attached. How will water availability be handled in building 1? COR: There is water available in many locations in Bldg 1 but contractor will have to determine which connection is most appropriate and determine what is needed to connect to it. Is there more information on the piping requirement? Seemed like the area to be mitigated was larger than cited. Address the cleaning and removal aspects. COR: Work in Building 1 Basement Room B141 including all abatement and new insulation is deleted from scope. Are there pictures of Room 1071A as we were not able to see during visit?  Can you provide? COR: 1071A was available for viewing later on in the site visit but attached are pictures of the space. Has the area in the attic been re-marked? It was unclear what needed to be addressed. Beyond vacuuming with heap vacuum, is there anything else VA wants completed? Saw a bunch of stones, etc.  How would contractor get water to the attic? If the cleaning needs to be more than vacuum stage. COR: The VA expects the floors to be cleaned of all asbestos powder and debris per the specifications. Water is available in the attic however the method of connection and delivery is the contractor s responsibility. Will containment have to be taken up and down daily or will we be able to leave it up while area is mitigated? COR: Containment will be in place during abatement until clearance is obtained from the VPIH. After that it needs to come down as soon as possible. See 02 82 11 Specification and AHERA standards. Will working hours be confined to nights and or weekends? COR: Working hours are defined in the SOW under 1-General as Abatement noisy work and when limiting access to some areas (corridors for example) will have to occur off hours but other work can occur anytime. Generally business hours are 0800-1700 Monday thru Friday (excluding Federal Holidays). COR: Change Finish for Building 1 Room 1071A from no new floor but leveled to: Shaw Radiance Tile 59361 (color and pattern to be picked after award).
