Description
The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) H-1 Upgrades Program Office (PMA-276) intends to issue a Step-Ladder Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to Bell Textron, Inc. to procure the Rotor Brake Modification shipsets for the AH-1Z and UH-1Y aircraft in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 ""Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements."" This procurement is contemplated as a firm-fixed price type contract with a five years period of performance. The deliverables under this contract shall be comprised of retrofit hardware shipsets which include two (2) common rotor brakes assembly kits (one for the left side/one for the right) and a common hydraulic kit. The estimated total recurring kits is 284 which includes 158 for the AH-1Z aircrafts and 126 for the UH-1Y aircrafts. The specific kits quantities and delivery terms will be determined at the task order level with a minimum of 20 kits and a maximum of 50 kits per contract/task order. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested parties are requested to submit a capability statement for the purpose of determining whether to initiate a competitive procurement. All responses received by the Government within fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete these proposed contract actions based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
