Edited to Extend Close Date to 6/07/2022.�� ______ This is a Sources Sought notice. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. Pursuant to 48 CFR Part 326, Subpart 326.603-3 and IHM 5.5-6, Indian Health Service (IHS) must use the negotiation authority of the Buy Indian Act, 25 U.S.C. 47, to give preference to Indian Economic Enterprises (IEE) whenever the use of that authority is authorized and practicable. The purpose of this Sources Sought Announcement is for market research to gain knowledge of potential qualified IEE sources interested and capable of performing the work. Responses to this announcement will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition planning decisions. The Government is seeking to identify Indian Small Business Economic Enterprises (ISBEEs) that are capable of performing the below Indian Health Services (IHS) requirement and interested in submitting potential Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) at an Indian Health Service healthcare facility under the North American Classification System (NAICS) Code of 621399, Office of All Other Miscellaneous Health Practitioners. The Small Business Administration's size standard for NAICS 621399 is 9 million dollars.� Any vendor responding to this notice should submit their capability statement as well as the Buy Indian Act Indian Economic Enterprise Representation Form (attached). Instructions for submission are outlined below. INSTRUCTIONS TO INDUSTRY ISBEEs are highly encouraged to respond to this notice. However, firms should understand that generic capability statements are not sufficient for effective evaluation of their capacity and capability to perform the work required. Responses must directly demonstrate the company�s capability, experience, and ability to provide CRNA services as shown below: CRNAs: These positions shall be required to report to work in accordance with IHS facility policies. The contract CRNA shall possess qualifications meeting or exceeding currently recognized national standards as established by the Joint Commission (TJC), the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists Council on Accreditation, and the US Army Graduate Program in Anesthesia Nursing (USAGPAN) affiliate university. The contract CRNA shall perform in accordance with established principles, practices, and ethics of the nursing anesthesia profession and written policies, procedures, protocols, and requirements of the IHS. The standards of performance for all contract CRNAs shall reflect the degree of care, skill, and learning expected of a reasonably prudent CRNA.� Up to date ACLS and PALS certifications are requirements. The majority (greater than 80%) of Anesthesia services shall be performed in the area of emergent and non-emergent surgical anesthesia. A minority of anesthesia service (less than 20%) may be performed on functions that directly support anesthesia patient care. This anesthesia direct support services include but are not limited to preoperative clinic, pain management, sedation analgesia program management, infection control, hospital education, process improvement, nurse anesthesia training, and research. The contractor shall have CRNAs available to provide services 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.� On call and callback status applies as required. (i.e., 24 hours per day, seven days per week).� The schedule may include weekdays, federal holidays, training holidays, and weekends. Unplanned or unannounced work schedule changes may be required with the concurrence of the contractor.� Potential ISBEE sources who are interested should reference Sources Sought Number 75H70922MR-002; identify/provide business name, address, UIE number; point of contact; business size and business socio-economic category; and provide a service capability statement in their response.
