- NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) Mechanicsburg is seeking eligible contractors to furnish effort including labor, material, and facilities as may be required to manufacture the items as specified within this document. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. The information provided in the RFI is subject to change and is not binding on the Government. The Navy has not made a commitment to procure any of the items discussed, and release of this RFI should not be construed as such a commitment or as authorization to incur cost for which reimbursement would be required or sought. All submissions become Government property and will not be returned. The Government intends to solicit as full and open competition. The Government intends to solicit for the procurement of of: NSN 2090-LL-CQB-0114, Shipboard Rated 6K Walkie Electric Pallet (WEP) Trucks used aboard the Ticonderoga Class Cruiser, Arleigh-Burke Class Guided Missile Destroyer, Expeditionary Sea Base, Landing Helicopter Dock Class Amphibious Assault ship, Landing Platform Dock Amphibious Transport Ship, and the Land Dock Amphibious Warship. The government does not possess or cannot provide the data necessary to perform the required manufacture of the item. Further description and the anticipated salient characteristics along with the DRAFT Statement of Work are provided as attachments to this RFI. The Government has not yet made a decision how it intends to solicit and negotiate its requirement(s) whether through full and open competition, through small business set asides, or with only one or limited sources as may be appropriate for the requirement being solicited. More than one Request for Proposals or Request for Quotations may be generated depending on the results of this sources sought notice. The Government�s method of negotiation will be indicated in future solicitations and, if appropriate, supported through Justifications and Approvals (J and As) in accordance with 10 U.S.C 2304 and published to betaSAM in accordance with 15 U.S.C. 637(e)) and 41 U.S.C. 1708. All responsible sources may identify their interest and provide capability statements, considerations for contract types, considerations of specific terms and conditions, or other information that may be useful in creating the resulting solicitation(s). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responses received prior to the closing date of this sources sought notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
