- Description
- 1. Drawing GC101 Typical HEPA Filtration through Window Detail Talks about abatement, will there be any abatement included in this contract? Have the caulks and sealants been tested for hazardous materials a. No abatement is anticipated in this project, the windowsills as suspected to have ACM adhesives. These sills are to be completely wrapped/covered in solid surface materials (e.g. Corian). I show instances in the hospital where our Carpenter shop has already done this for an example. 2. From site visit there was talk of changing Drawing SF102 3 sections. Will new details be issued? a. The detail provided shows fasteners anchored to the sides of structural member s encasing concrete. This is prohibited as the concrete is considered fireproofing and anchors compromise its integrity. So, to clarify the detail is wrong and should be disregarded. All anchors/fasteners shall be directed to the deck. The method of fastening shall be as recommended by the manufacturer and approved by the COR. I did not intend to issue a new detail unless one is required. 3. From Drawing Q101 equipment schedule calls for NMIS VA to Contract install , What is the responsibility of the contractor? Are we to include removal and replacement of windows to bring scan unit through and install? Please clarify responsibility regarding removal of existing units and installation of new. a. The responsibility of the Contractor will include all aspects of delivering new medical equipment to the space by means of crane outside of the building, delivering the equipment through a window. Please include rigging/equip.-delivery as a separate line item. Also include as a separate line-item removal of equipment in the same manner through a window by means of crane to remove the old equipment. Removal of the old equipment with a crane may not be required and shall be de-scoped if other removal means by the manufacturer are provided (i.e. elevator). Please be mindful of aspects such as certified crew and operator, lift plan, proper rigging and equipment to deliver to space and safely lower to the floor from window height. 4. Based on ICRA plan and work plan, T1 ICRA barriers will have to come down to complete project space outside of nuclear medicine 416C. Is this work to be phased or can work such as installing solid surfacing and epoxy floor paint be done at one time with 416C shutdown? a. Assume phasing of ICRA barriers to accommodate the local medical staff for some duration. 5. From 3rd floor ICRA Plan 1 hour fire rated walls are shown, are these walls able to be left up during the duration of construction? Also, No ICRA notes are shown in room 309C-1, but work is anticipated in this room. a. The 1-hour walls will be left up while work is being preformed on the 3rd floor but cannot be left up indefinitely for the duration of the complete project. The ICRA plans for this space will include the highest levels attainable as t is the Sterile Processing Service area. I am working on an ICRA plan which I will send out as a scope amendment once complete.
