- The Department of Veteran Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 6, on behalf of Durham VA Medical Center, intends to negotiate a sole source Firm-Fixed Price contract for Preventive Maintenance and Service ARJO Mobile Lifts, Bathtubs, & Beds Service at the Durham Veterans Affairs Medical Center with Arjo Inc. in accordance with 41 U.S.C. ยง3304(a)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source. Performance work statement and attachment-one equipment list is appended. The Government intends to award a one-year (1) base plus four (4) one-year option contract. The applicable NAICS Code is 811219 (Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance) with a size standard of 1000 Employees. The corresponding Product Service Code is J065. This is not a request for competitive offers and no solicitation is available. Market research has determined that these services are only available from a single source without an unacceptable delay or duplication of cost and no other type of services will satisfy agency requirements. The Government intends to award the contract with an effective date on or about 29 June 2022 to Arjo Inc, 2349 W Lake ST Ste 250, Addison, IL, 60101. The Durham Veterans Medical Center is seeking a contractor to provide all necessary labor, equipment, and materials necessary to furnish Preventive Maintenance and service for ARJO Mobile Lifts, Bathtubs, & Beds equipment. All Field Service Engineers (FSE) performing under this contract must be original equipment manufacturers (OEM) certified and experienced in ARJO Portable Patient Lift, Bathtub, and Bed Repair. All FSEs must have OEM training on the specific models located in the Durham VAMC area of operations (through-out North Carolina) and must have full and unfettered access to all OEM service publications and diagnostic service software. Support Specialist providing annual operator training must be OEM trained and accredited. This potential requirement may be for a base period of one year (1) and four (4) one-year options. This synopsis announcement is being issued for information purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or request for competitive proposals.
