- Commander, Fleet Readiness Centers (COMFRC) Procurement Group, Patuxent River, MD, hereby gives notice of intent to award a purchase order to AMERICAN HOFMANN CORPORATION., (Cage Code: 30471), on a sole source basis in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one source reasonably available and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The purchase order is anticipated to include a base year plus four (4) option years of performance. FRC Southwest has a requirement for bi-annual Preventative Maintenance and Calibration services on four (4) Horizontal Balance Machines, and two (2) Vertical Balance Machines, that service engine components for the LM2500 program. AMERICAN HOFMANN CORPORATION (Cage Code: 30471) is the OEM for the Horizontal Balance Machines and the Vertical Balance Machines, including replacement parts. AMERICAN HOFMANN CORPORATION, based in Virginia, is the only known source for the required preventative maintenance and calibration services.� THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which, if received within three (3) calendar days after the date of the publication of this synopsis, will be reviewed. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
