Description

Notice of Intent to Award Sole-Source. Accelerometers for Testing. Notice ID. W91ZLK22Q0034. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). The ACC-APG Tenant Contracting Division, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. Intends to award a Firm Fixed Price sole source contract to DYTRAN INSTRUMENTS INC. Cage Code: 2W033. � US Army Aberdeen Test Center, Automotive Directorate, Automotive Instrumentation Division, requires accelerometers for testing. These test items sense motion and convert that movement to an electrical signal proportional to the acceleration of the movements, and other requirements listed in the purchase description. � DYTRAN INSTRUMENTS INC., is currently the sole provider of the Dytran specialized accelerometers that are equipped to sense motion and convert that movement to an electrical signal proportional to the acceleration of the movement for military wheeled vehicles. �Transducers produced by Dytran, is the only product that will meet the requirements of ATC. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 334519. Posting date of this requirement is 14 June 2022. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 4:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time, 25 June 2022. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government in future procurements. This is not a Request for Quote. This is a written notice to inform the public of the Government's intent to award on a sole source basis for the required Supplies/Services.
