Description

The NIDCD research program conducts basic and clinical research in human communication, with a primary interest in hearing, balance, speech, and language in human and mouse models. Characterizing the molecular and cellular mechanisms of loss of hearing or balance caused by genetic mutations or non-genetic factors such as noise or drugs. Exploring new and improved methods to detect, diagnose, prevent, and treat hearing and balance disorders. The NIDCD research program National Institutes of Health (NIH) uses two (2) BD Bioscience FACSCanto Cytometry System. The Office of Acquisitions and Logistics at the National Institutes of Health plans to procure, on a sole source basis, maintenance services for this specialized flow cytometer from BD Biosciences (2350 Qume Drive San Jose, CA 951311) for a Base Year plus Four (4) Option Years. IAW FAR 6.302-1(a) - Only One Responsible�Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements -�this purchase order is intended to be awarded as a sole source procurement�to Becton, Dickinson and Company to purchase attachments and accessories to equip multiple existing instruments which will eliminate associated risk with a single instrument failure. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.� However,�all proposals received by the date specified herein will be�considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to�compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will�normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested parties may identify their interest and may submit a quote by 10:00 AM EST, 20 June 2022, which shall be considered by the Government.�Requests and quotes shall be sent via email to�holleyv@od.nih.gov.
