Description
STATEMENT OF SPECIFICATIONS Molecular Devices provide the customers with innovative bioanalytical solutions for protein and cell biology in life science research, pharmaceutical and biotherapeutic development. With over 140,000 placements in laboratories around the world, the instruments have contributed to remarkable scientific research described in over 230,000+ peer reviewed publications.� The Digidata 1550B0 combined with pCLAMP11 recording software and Warner TEV700 workstation is a fully equipped two-electrode voltage clamp recording setup. 1) The Digidata 1550B Low Noise Data Acquisition System plus HumSilencer is the next generation of digitizers from Molecular Devices and is supported by pCLAMP 10.6 data acquisition and analysis software. This ensures an easy upgrade path for the large number of pCLAMP electrophysiology labs around the world. 2) The Digidata 1550B digitizer is compatible with the AxoScope 11 data acquisition software, which is available for download. 3) The Digidata 1550B digitizer eliminates 50 or 60 Hz line-frequency noises and associated high frequency harmonics up to four channels, thus enabling cellular network studies without signal distortion. 4) The Digidata 1550B digitizer provides a fast adaptive noise rate for changing noise pattern in less than one second. 5) The Digidata 1550B digitizer is not a filter and does not cause signal distortion, such as, frequency change, amplitude attenuation, phase shift, and DC voltage change. 6) The Digidata 1550B digitizer eliminates 50 or 60 Hz line-frequency noise amplitudes at the digitizer�s analog input of up to 20 V peak-to-peak. 7) The Digidata 1550B digitizer eliminates 50 or 60 Hz line-frequency noise on up to four digitizer analog inputs in parallel. 8) The Digidata 1550B has low-noise, high-precision 16-bit analog outputs for precise stimulation. 9) The Digidata 1550B digitizer has 8 separate DACs, allowing 8 simultaneous waveforms for higher throughput or more complex neuronal network experiments than were possible with previous generations of the Digidata digitizers. 10) The Digidata 1550B digitizer can operate at its maximum sampling rate of 500 kHz per channel on all 8 input channels simultaneously. This provides a very high aggregate throughput of 4 MSamples/s. 11) The Digidata 1550B digitizer analog input noise levels are very low, so the digitizer is not only an excellent choice for whole-cell but also for single-channel experiments. 12) The Digidata 1550B digitizer provides 8 analog input channels. This high number of inputs allows one instrument to perform a wide variety of experiments, ranging from multiple electrodes in a brain slice to whole-animal physiology. 13) The Digidata 1550B digitizer has 8 separate ADCs. This virtually eliminates any crosstalk noise between analog input channels, even with large amplitude differentials between input signals. 14) The Digidata 1550B digitizer has several digital triggering options for flexible interfacing with other hardware devices, such as valve controllers, stimulators and imaging systems. 15) The Digidata 1550B digitizer connects to computers via a standard USB 2.0 port. This makes both desktop and laptop installation extremely simple and easy. 16) The Digidata 1550B digitizer is rack-mount ready for a standard 2U rack. The front panel also provides convenient access to almost all functionalities. 17) pcLAMP 11 is presently the only software to support the new Digidata 1550B digitizer, which is the most comprehensive electrophysiology software available. All types of data (action potentials (Aps), minis (EPSPs), single-channel currents, whole-cell current and voltages, LTP/LTD) can be acquired, analyzed, and graphed in the same consistent software.
