Description

The U.S. Army Contracting Command � Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), Aberdeen Proving Ground, Natick Contracting Division in support of the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command -Soldier Center (DEVCOM-SC)� intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract on a sole source basis to Aerogel Technologies, located at 1001 W Brentwood Ln, Milwaukee, WI, under the authority as prescribed in FAR 13.106(b)(1).� The requirement is for Airloy� XR103 given its proven performance in initial tests.� Aerogel Technologies owns the patent on the material. This material is proprietary to Aerogel Technologies and cannot be produced by other suppliers. This manufacturing technology is specific to Aerogel Technologies and these features are required for integration with armor. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 339113 and the size standard is 750 employees. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS.� No solicitation document is available. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability by sending responses regarding this requirement to the Army Contracting Command � Aberdeen Proving Ground CCAP-SCN, Natick Contracting Division via email ONLY to meri.l.jones.civ@army.mil no later than 3:00 p.m. EST 5 July 2022.� The U.S. government will not pay for any information or administrative cost incurred in response to this Notice.� All costs associated with responding to this Notice will be solely at the expense of the interested party.
