Description

The Commander Fleet Readiness Centers (COMFRC) Procurement Group, Patuxent River, MD 20670 hereby gives notice of their intent to award a purchase order to Proto Manufacturing (Cage Code: 41PF0) on a sole source basis in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one source reasonably available and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.�The purchase order is anticipated to include a base year plus three (3) option years of performance. Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW), NAS North Island, CA has a requirement for Preventive Maintenance and Calibration Services of Proto mXRD and Proto iXRD X-ray Diffraction Stress Measurement Systems. Proto Manufacturing is the only company certified to provide support, maintenance and upgrade services to ensure that the instrumentation, sampling accessories, and software will continue to perform in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications. Proto Manufacturing retains proprietary knowledge of the hardware and software of both iXRD and mXRD systems. Proto Manufacturing is the only known qualified source capable to maintain and repair these systems and of meeting the Government�s specific requirements. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which, if received within three (3) calendar days after the date of the publication of this synopsis, will be considered.�� Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.� A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
