- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District is issuing this Sources Sought notice to determine if there is an adequate number of interested and qualified small businesses having the capability and bonding capacity for the following effort. The procurement method for this solicitation will be an Invitation for Bids (sealed bids). �� This Sources Sought action is for a project at West Point, New York. �The project magnitude is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. � The description of the project is as follows: � The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers � New York District (USACE) has initiated field investigative work, project definition analysis and design to construct a Chilled Water System consisting of a Chilled Water Chiller Package with all its appurtenances, together with a chilled water line distribution system to connect three buildings: Cullum Hall, Lincoln Hall and the West Point Club at the U.S Military Academy (USMA) at West Point, New York. This project is to be a complete chilled water system including full coordination connections with the three buildings to make the chilled water system fully functional. This project shall provide chilled water on demand with automatic controls year-round to Cullum Hall, Lincoln Hall and the West Point Club. The Chiller package shall include multiple refrigerant circuits and compressors and utilize a dual (N+1) pumping system for redundancy. The new chilled water system installed under this project is intended to remain in service until the existing central chilled water plant (Building B604) is expanded and site distribution piping is extended to serve these buildings as part of future West Point projects.� POP is currently about 20 months Responses to this Sources Sought will be used by the Government for Market Research analysis�only, as an aid in its making the appropriate acquisition decision, such as use of a small business set-aside, or a small business set-aside within a specific socio-economic category, or full and open competition. This project is planned for advertisement starting in July 2022 with an award planned for approximately September 2022.� The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is for general construction; 236220 for Commercial and Institutional Facilities. All interested businesses should notify this office in writing by e-mail and provide a response to the items below: Provide CAGE Code and DUNS Number. Provide identification and verification of the company as Small Business for NAICS Code 236220. Also, please include information if your company falls within any socio-economic categories. Prior Construction Performance -- Provide a brief description of two (2) past constructed projects, same or similar in scope. Similar projects seek non-residential facilities, and your past project description must demonstrate that multiple trades were used, such as those described in this project scope of work. The past projects submitted for consideration must have been completed in the last seven (7) years from this Sources Sought response due date. Completion is defined as the date the facility was turned over to the customer. Prime Contractor/Self-Performance -- Provide a statement verifying that the Prime Contractor is capable and will perform twenty percent (20%) of the physical work within the firm. �Indicate the type of work (trade) to be self-performed by the Prime Contractor. This does not include contract supervision and administration duties, such as payroll and bookkeeping. Bonding Capability -- The interested contract firm must indicate its capability of obtaining performance and payment bonds in the dollar amount (price or range) of the project magnitude, which is between $5 million and $10 million.� All interested businesses should submit their responses in writing by e-mail or package delivery service. The due date for responses is 24 June 2022 at 5:00pm EST.
