- The work to be acquired under these indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contracts is for design-build (DB) and design-bid-build (DBB) construction of NAICS 237* Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction within the Washington Headquarters Services? (WHS) area of responsibility. The majority of work anticipated aligns with NAICS 237310 Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction for repair or alteration of parking facilities. Most work will be performed in the National Capital Region within the confines of the Pentagon Reservation.Types of projects may include, but are not limited to:* Projects that reduce water pollution caused by storm water runoff* Bio-retention modernization of existing grounds and infrastructure* Design and installation of permeable pavers and rainwater harvesting systems* Installation of tree box filters within existing parking lots* Renovation and/or installation of exterior security, mechanical, electrical, sewer, and plumbing systems* Exterior work, to include bridge, road, and parking lot repairs and renovations, concrete milling and paving, asphalt milling and paving, fencing and guard rail installations or repair, underground utilities work, fuel fill stand and tank repairs and replacements, underground fuel line placement, replacement, and repairsFor projects that use the design-build delivery method, the Contractor must provide well qualified, capable in house architect and engineering services or obtain services of an architect-engineering (A-E) design firm or firms experienced in the design, development, and coordination of projects with experience as noted within the specific Task Orders issued under this contract.
