Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Acquisition Management Division, intends to negotiate with Extreme Waves, LLC (Cage: 8LBG5), located in San Diego, CA, on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b), soliciting from a single source to purchase four (4) 28 GHz Frequency Phase Array Beamformers. NIST�s Shared Spectrum Metrology requires four (4) 28 GHz Frequency Phase Array Beamformers to support evaluation and optimization of 5G wireless coexistence signals and system as part of the Communications Technology Laboratory�s research. Extreme Waves, LLC is the sole manufacturer and distributor of the equipment that meets the required minimum specifications. The NAICS Code is 334220, Radio and Television Broadcasting and Wireless Communications Equipment Manufacturing, with a small business standard of 1,250 employees. NIST anticipates negotiating and awarding a firm-fixed-price contract to Extreme Waves, LLC for this requirement. Interested parties that can demonstrate they could satisfy the requirement listed above for NIST must clearly and unambiguously identify their capability to do so in writing on or before the response date for this notice. This notice of intent is not a solicitation. Information submitted in response to this notice will be used solely to determine whether competitive procedures could be used for this acquisition. If competitive procedures are not used, it is estimated that an award will be issued by August 8, 2022. Any questions regarding this notice must be submitted in writing via email to aaron.ritter@nist.gov. All responses to this notice of intent must be submitted to the Contract Specialist,�aaron.ritter@nist.gov, no later than 10:00 a.m. (Mountain Time) on July 1, 2022.
