Description

This is a notice that a solicitation is anticipated to be forth coming and will have all the necessary documents, including a scope of work. IAW FAR 36.204(d), the magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Performance and Payment Bonds are required. The Scope of this project consists of furnishing labor, equipment and material to realign, fully repave and update the Beck Avenue corridor and Flagler Street.� The premise for this project is to remove the existing pavement, realign Beck Avenue and Flagler Street, re-grade, install new storm sewer and place new pavement. Beck Avenue and Flagler Street along with all side street entrance connections shall be 9 inch Portland Cement Concrete with reinforcement at the joints with a 6 inch curb and gutter at 30 inch width, place on a 12 inch modified subbase.�The project includes the removal of an existing retaining wall and wing walls without disturbing an adjacent underground tunnel. Removal, relocation and replacement of the existing security fence. Remove and relocate the existing turnstile door and controls including electrical connections, simplex access programming and installing a heated concrete pad. Remove and relocate the existing security gate that includes operating controls, simplex access programming controls, card reader, electrical connections and bollards with controls for the gate. 6 inch subdrain tile shall be installed along the gutter line and tied into new storm intakes. Sidewalks shall be 6 feet in width, P.C.C., placed on 6 inch modified subbase with 6 inch by 6 inch welded wire fabric. Existing storm drainage shall be removed and replaced. The finish grade shall be receive 4� of topsoil and hydro seed and mulched. The project shall be constructed using the Iowa State Urban Design and Specifications Program (SUDAS) 2022.
