- This is not a request for proposal and in no way obligates the Government to award any contract.� Market research performed to date for fulfillment of the government requirement below has not yielded a high number of potential vendors.� The purposes of this sources sought notice is to give preliminary notice of our requirement to the market place in attempt to broaden industry participation and increase competition. This is not a small business set aside, however the results of this posting will be used to determine whether any further opportunity announcements for this requirement should be a set aside.� A general description of the requirement is below.��Any interested party that believes they can fulfill this requirement should submit a capability statement to be reviewed at this time.� Official offers are not requested at this time, however, all submissions will be considered. The Engineer Research Development Center (ERDC) Additive Construction (AC) program at ERDC-Champaign (CERL) utilizes cutting-edge, automated 3D printing capabilities to construct a multitude of designs to include facilities, gap crossings, and obstacles using locally available cement and aggregate materials.�To mitigate dust from materials testing and mixing, ERDC-CERL requires dust mitigation equipment to remove the airborne dust from workspaces. Based on the size of the workspace to be mitigated the system must have a high airflow (4000 CFM) and be capable of returning clean air to the conditioned space.� The system as a whole shall fit in a space that is 42.5 in. wide x 76 in. long x 170 in. tall.� The paragraphs below further define the Materials Lab Dust Mitigation System Requirements (paragraph 1), and the Installation and Training Requirements (paragraph 2) to be supplied by a contractor. 1. Dust Mitigation Requirements: 1.1.� � � � �Must be designed to handle airborne fines for the following: 1.1.1.� � � (1) 8.5� x 16� x 10� Tall Aggregate Testing Room (sand fines) 1.1.1.1.� �Large Sieve: 22.5�W x 34�L x 48�H 1.1.1.2.� �12� Sieve: 14.5�W x 18�L x 48�H 1.1.2.� � � 8.5� x 16� x 10� Tall Mortar Testing Room (cement, silica fume, fly ash fines) 1.1.2.1.� (2) Small Batch Mixers: 10�wide x 14� long x 18� tall 1.1.2.1.1.� �Bowl height during mixing = 10� 1.1.2.1.2.� �Mixer Volume 3L, max cement amount 2 Lbs 1.1.2.2.� � � Red Mixer:18�W x 28�L 48�H, mixer drum rotates. 1.1.2.2.1.� �Paddle arm attached is stationary. 1.1.2.2.2.� �Mixer volume = 1.33 cf , Max cement weight 50 lbs 1.2.������� Balance air flow to account for a single room conditioner with 280 CFM in each of the 2 rooms 1.3.������� Dust Mitigation system shall consist of at least the following: 1.3.1.���� (1) Self Cleaning Cartridge Collector 1.3.1.1.� (1) 15 HP, 480 Volt, 3 Phase Motor 1.3.1.2.� �Automatic VFD to Maintain Airflow & Extend Filter Life 1.3.1.3.� �4,000 CFM of Air Flow 1.3.1.4.� �(4) Cartridge Filters 1.3.1.5.� �1,860 sq. ft. of Filter Media ( Vertical Filter Configuration) 1.3.1.6.� �Self Cleaning System 1.3.1.7.� �Pre wired Collector Mounted Control System 1.3.1.8.� �Clean Air Plenum Particulate Monitor Protection 1.3.1.9.� �Exhaust Silencer 1.3.1.10. Hopper, Legs & 55 Gallon Drum Waste Containment 1.3.1.11. Be less than 42.5 in. wide x 76 in. Long x 170 in. tall 1.3.2.� � � (2) Backdrafts Hoods 1.3.3.� � � (2) 6� x 10� Fume Arm & Support Posts 1.3.4.� � � Required Ducting and Hardware 1.3.5.� � � Manual Blast Gates 1.3.6.� � � Engineered Drawings and Commissioning. 1.3.7.� � � HEPA After Plenum 1.3.8.� � � Fire Suppression System w/ Intake Damper 2. Installation and Training Requirements: ERDC CERL seeks to have the Dust Mitigation System delivered and installed no later than October 30th, 2022. The selected contractor will provide a training session on the basics of use, upkeep, and maintenance of the dust mitigation system to CERL onsite users withing 30 days after installation is complete. Responses to this notice will not be considered as a response to any solicitation, a request to be added to a prospective offerors list, or to receive a copy of any solicitation. A determination by the Government not to compete the contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
