Description: Combined Solicitation & Synopsis Frazier Vista Mastication Project 127EAS22Q0058 The Department of Agriculture, US Forest Service, Business Operations Procurement & Property Services Field Procurement Center Southwest Zone Procurement Support CSA2, and Plumas National Forest requires services for grinding or masticating trees and competing vegetation, and cutting, skidding, and decking trees within timber stands in the Lakes Basin Project Area. This is a combined / solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The government intends to award a single award Firm Fixed Price Contract.� � AS PER THE GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS IN ATTACHMENTS AND THE FOLLOWING ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Contractor Responsibility:� The contractor shall furnish the necessary personnel, supplies and transportation to perform the services and ensure that the designated areas present a clean, healthy, orderly and well-kept appearance. Estimated Start Date & Contract Time: Start: Estimated Start Date is July 27, 2022. Time: The period of performance of this contract is from 07/27/2022 through 09/30/2022. LOCATION: The Frazier Vista project is located on the Plumas National Forest, Beckwourth Ranger District. The project area is in the vicinity of Blairsden, Graeagle, and Mohawk Vista communities. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: See attachment 02 COMMENCEMENT PROSECUTION, AND COMPLETION OF WORK (FAR 52.211-10) (APR 1984) The Contractor shall be required to (a) commence work under this contract within 7 calendar days after the date the Contractor receives the notice to proceed, (b) prosecute the work diligently, and (c) complete the entire work ready for use not later than 30 September 2022. �Work is estimated to begin July 27th, 2022. SITE VISIT: Due to the Covid-19 gathering and travel restriction there will not be a government lead site visit for this project. Offerors or quoters are urged and expected to inspect the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance, to the extent that the information is reasonably obtainable. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award.
